Bereavement Meals

The Bereavement Committee’s main mission is to provide a meal to the surviving members of a deceased parish member’s family. The meals are meant to provide a pleasant atmosphere with “comfort food”. Meals are served in the Parish Life Center Rm. 2 or the gym (depending on size). When a family requests a meal, volunteers are asked to provide food and their time to work the funeral dinner. There are extended times where meals are not needed, and other times when several meals are  served close together.

Opportunities are available for individuals who would like to assist in organizing, preparing, and serving the meals as well as individuals who would like to provide the food. Homemade items are always welcome and appreciated, but you do not have to cook anything as you could bring pre-made items such as chips, bread, drink mix, etc.
