Holy Orders

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?" "Here I am," I said; "send me!”  Isaiah 6:8

The Sacrament of Holy Orders is the sacrament in which deacons, priests, and bishops are ordained for the service of the Church. While only men can be ordained, women are often called to religious life as well.  This life may involve a call to live in a community with special emphasis. Communities or religious orders for men and women are endless in number and vary widely in their call to serve God. Anyone interested in the priesthood, diaconate, or religious life should speak with Fr. Aaron who will help them through the process of discerning God's call.  You can reach Fr. Aaron via email or by phone at 317-462-4240.

Prayer for Vocations

Almighty and eternal God,
in your unfailing love you provide ministers for your Church. We pray for those whom you call to serve the Church as priests, nuns, and religious. Inspire in them a generous response. Grant them courage and vision to serve your people. May their lives and service call your people to respond to the presence of your Spirit among us that, faithful to the Gospel and hope of Jesus the Christ, we may:  announce glad tidings to the poor proclaim liberty to captives;  set prisoners free; and renew the face of the earth.
