TOTUS TUUS
Totus Tuus (Latin for Totally Yours) is a fun and energetic parish based summer catechetical program for both grade school age children and middle and high school youth. Totus Tuus gathers together college students and seminarians from across the United States onto teaching teams of four in order to train them and send them out on the road to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in various participating parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. The teachers’ youthfulness, energy, and ability to witness to the Faith make them particularly effective with children and young adults.
The grade school program is designed for children going into 1st through 6th grades in the upcoming school year. The program runs during the day from 9 am - 2:30 pm, Monday, July 10 - Friday, July 14. The evening program is for junior high youth (grades 7th-8th) and high school youth (grades 9th-12th). This group meet in the evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm, Sunday, July 9 - Thursday, July 13. The program is comprised of instruction, small group discussions, quiet meditation, prayer, and fellowship.
The fees to attend are as follows: one child - $25; two children - $40; three or more children - $50. If paying these fees is a hardship for your family, please contact Jennifer Beyer at re@stmichaelsgrfld.org or 317-462-4240. A registration form can be printed from the link below.
Volunteers are also needed for Totus Tuus! There will be two young men and two young women missionaries that will need a place to stay for the duration of the program. They will need to be housed in separate homes so two different hosts are needed. The missionaries will only need a place to sleep and a simple breakfast from their hosts.
Dinners are needed for the missionaries as well. You can have the missionaries in your home or bring dinner to the Parish Life Center and share the meal. If you can help with housing or meals, please contact Jennifer Beyer at the contact information above.
