The Building and Grounds Commission
This commission is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all the parish facilities. Gary Warner is the commission chairperson and responsible for maintenance of these facilities.
The commission tries to save the parish money by doing as many repairs as possible without hiring outside contractors.
We accomplish our mission by utilizing as many parishioners as possible to help with needed repairs.
We meet as needed.
We like to maintain a list of 5 to 10 volunteers with different skills.
Volunteers help do repairs and maintenance on buildings and grounds. We have a large group of volunteers who are doing an excellent job of maintaining the flowers and bushes on the parish grounds.
We have people with experience in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, lawn care and gardening as well as people with no special talent but just want to help where they are needed.
Time commitment is whatever the volunteer has available, there is no set commitment.
Money for repairs comes from the parish budget or donations, some from the volunteers who want to donate materials or equipment.
We will need between 5 and 20 volunteers for next year with no specific amount hours required from them.
Volunteers come from all walks of life and are needed who are willing to give of their time and talent. Plumbers, electrician and carpenters are especially needed.
